AHL announces suspension

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. . The American Hockey League today announced that Binghamton Senators right wing Mike Sgroi has been suspended for two (2) regular-season games as a result of his actions during an AHL game vs. Norfolk on Mar. 24.

Sgroi was assessed an instigator penalty within the final five minutes of the third period, resulting in an automatic one-game suspension under AHL Rule 47.21. He received an additional game under the provisions of AHL Rule 29.1 (supplementary discipline).

Sgroi missed the Senators' game at Hershey on Sunday (Mar. 25), and will also miss their game at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Mar. 28.
