Grossman goes to Dallas

DES MOINES, IA - Iowa Stars Director of Hockey Operations Scott White announced this morning that the Dallas Stars have recalled Defenseman Nicklas Grossman from the Des Moines-based, Iowa Stars. Grossman's recall was under Emergency Conditions.

Drafted by the Dallas Stars with the 56th overall pick in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Grossman has played in 63 games for the Iowa Stars this season. A native of Stockholm, Sweden, he has two goals and eight assists and paces Iowa with a 'plus 6' rating: 63(2/8/10)+6.

The 22-year-old blueliner made his NHL debut on December 2nd against the Minnesota Wild, recording one shot and four penalty minutes. This is his third recall by Dallas this season.

Prior to turning pro, the 6-3, 206-pounder served as Captain for Team Sweden at the 2005 World Junior Championships.
