Kossila Joins Gulls

SAN DIEGO - The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned center Kalle Kossila to the San Diego Gulls, Anaheim's primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Kossila, 25 (4/14/93), scored one goal (1-0=1) with four penalty minutes (PIM) in eight games with the Ducks this season. Recalled from San Diego on Nov. 12, Kossila recorded his second career NHL goal and first career game-winning goal in a 4-3 victory on Nov. 21 vs. Vancouver. Signed as a free agent on Mar. 30, 2016, Kossila owns 2-1=3 points with four PIM in 19 career NHL games with Anaheim.

A native of Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, Kossila has collected 3-4=7 points in six games with the Gulls this season. The 5-10, 185-pound center owns 40-73=113 points with a +16 rating in 132 career AHL games with San Diego.
