
Komets Deal McKernan to South Carolina

The Komets announced today that they have dealt the rights to defenseman Kevin McKernan to South Carolina. The deal completes the trade for future considerations made with the Stingrays last September for defenseman Mitch Nylen.
McKernan, 23, joined the Komets on March 17th after finishing his college career with Quinnipiac this year. The defensemen appeared in nine regular season games before skating eight playoff games with the Komets.
The Komets' 2018-19 season home opener is slated for Saturday, Oct. 20 against the Kalamazoo Wings. Season tickets with special early bird pricing are on sale at the Komet office at 1010 Memorial Way in Fort Wayne. For more information visit the Komet office, Komets.com or call 260-483-0011.
