
Komets add All-Star D-man Lackner

Fort Wayne, IN --- The Komets announced Friday the trade of center Kelly Miller to the Chicago Hounds for All-Star defenseman Andrew Lackner.
Lackner, 23, skated 4 seasons with Niagara University in the NCAA from 2002-03 to 2005-06 before turning pro this year.
Lackner started 2006-07 with Bloomington and appeared in 40 games scoring 3 goals and 8 points while earning a spot on the UHL's 2007 Western Conference All-Star Team. The rookie defenseman joined Chicago in February and appeared in 13 games with the Hounds passing 9 assists.
Lackner is expected to arrive in Fort Wayne today and will be available for the Komet's home game tomorrow night against the Port Huron Flags at 7:30.
