Knights To Welcome Tom Osborne To Game On April 8

Omaha, NE - The Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights announced today that Nebraska Representative Tom Osborne will be on hand to meet fans prior to their final regular season home game on Saturday, April 8th. Congressman Osborne will be available from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. and then will drop the puck prior to the Knights' game against the Peoria Rivermen.

"We are very happy that Congressman Osborne is able to join us for our final regular season home game," said Doug Soetaert, president of the Ak-Sar-Ben Knights. "During his tenure as the head coach of University of Nebraska football, Congressman Osborne had an impressive record of success. We look forward to introducing him to professional hockey in Omaha."

Fans are encouraged to arrive early to ensure that they will have the opportunity to meet Congressman Osborne prior to the start of the game.

The Ak-Sar-Ben Knights return to action on Friday when they face the Houston Aeros at 7:00 p.m. It is also Ladies Night. Ladies receive free admission with the purchase of a paid ticket. The Knights will be holding a silent auction at the game for dinner with Knights' players Ajay Baines and Dave Moss at Dave and Buster's at 132nd Street and West Center Road in Omaha. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights Charitable Foundation.

Tickets for all home games are available at the Civic Auditorium box office, Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The box office is open through the opening face-off on game nights. Tickets may also be purchased through any Ticketmaster outlet, by phone at (402) 422-1212 or at Ticketmaster.com. Group tickets for the game may be purchased through the Knights office or by calling (402) 344-4625.
