Moose Re-Assign Engman to Columbia

The Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, announced they have re-assigned defenceman Gustav Engman to Columbia of the ECHL.

Engman, 20, played in four games following his second recall of the season on February 28/06. In five games in total with the Moose this year, the native of Bolange, Sweden has collected one assist and four penalty minutes. He was recalled from Columbia earlier this season on Oct. 16/05 and saw action in one game with Manitoba before suffering an injury against the Peoria Rivermen on Oct. 20/05. Engman was initially assigned to Columbia following Moose training camp after signing an AHL contract. He has appeared in 43 games this year with the Inferno, scoring two goals and two assists for four points and 49 penalty minutes. Engman previously appeared in 126 games in two seasons with the Spokane Chiefs of the Western Hockey League, scoring 10 goals and 17 assists for 27 points and 182 penalty minutes.
