Charlotte Knights News Release
(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) -- The Charlotte Knights will change the times of two scheduled games later this season, as well as change the date for another scheduled game due to events at nearby Bank of America Stadium on the same day. Much like in past seasons, the changes are to alleviate congestion in and around the Uptown Charlotte area.
On Sunday, July 22nd , the Knights were originally scheduled to host the Indianapolis Indians in a 5:05 p.m. game on Faith and Family Night. With an international soccer game now scheduled for 4:00 p.m. that day, the Knights will shift their game time to 12:05 p.m. More detailed information on pre-game activities, as well as the time the gates will open that day, will be released soon.
On Friday, August 17th, the Knights were scheduled to host the Louisville Bats in a 7:04 p.m. game from BB&T Ballpark. Recently, the NFL released their pre-season schedule, which features a game that day in Uptown Charlotte between the Carolina Panthers and the Miami Dolphins at 7:30 p.m. The Knights will now shift their game time to 12:05 p.m. that day. Gates will open at 11:00 a.m. at BB&T Ballpark on August 17th.
One week later on Friday, August 24th, the Knights were scheduled to host the Gwinnett Braves at 7:04 p.m. from BB&T Ballpark. With the Panthers now scheduled to play a pre-season game against the New England Patriots at Bank of America Stadium that day, the Knights will move that game to 1:05 p.m. on Saturday, August 25th as part of a day-night doubleheader. Saturday's originally scheduled game at 7:04 p.m. will remain unchanged. A separate ticket for each game of the day-night doubleheader will be required for entrance on Saturday.
More details on Faith and Family Night, as well as additional promotions added to these games, will be released at a later date. Fans holding tickets to the game on August 24th will be able to redeem their tickets for the 1:05 p.m. game on August 25th. Single-game tickets for all of these games, as well as all remaining games this season, are available now by phone at 704-274-8282, in person at the BB&T Ballpark Ticket Office, or online at charlotteknights.com.
