OF Michael Saunders was signed by the Chicago White Sox organization today and added to Charlotte's active roster. Saunders, 31, last played with the Norfolk Tides and hit .161 (14-for-87) with one home run and 14 RBIs in 25 games this season. For his career, Saunders has played in parts of nine major league seasons (2009-2017) and owns a .232 (570-for-2,455) batting average with 324 runs scored, 123 doubles, 19 triples, 81 home runs, 263 RBIs, and 55 stolen bases in 775 major league games. Saunders was a 2016 American League All-Star with the Toronto Blue Jays.
