Today's Game

This evening, the Bisons take on the Syracuse Chiefs in the first game of their four game series (6:05 p.m.). Following Thursday morning's game, Buffalo will travel to Rochester for a six-game series May 25-28. Buffalo will begin to make-up their previously postponed games, with two being completed in Rochester. The Herd will then return to Coca-Cola Field to host the Columbus Clippers and Charlotte Knights for a three game series each (May 29-31, June 1-3).

Last Game: BUF 4 SWB 3

The Bisons' swept their three-game series against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders with a 4-3 victory on Sunday. RHP Taylor Guerrieri gave up one run over four innings in the no-decision. INF Jason Leblebijian hit his team leading fourth homerun in the 5th inning. The Herd added two runs in the 8th with RBIs from INF Lourdes Gurriel Jr. and C Reese McGuire.

Today's Starter: RHP Chris Rowley

RHP Chris Rowley takes the mound tonight for the seventh time this season. In his last start, the righty tossed four innings for a no-decision in the Bisons' 5-4 win over the Pawtucket Red Sox on May 16. Rowley is looking for his fourth victory of the season which would top his 3 wins in a Bisons' uniform last season (12G, 8GS).

Syracuse (4-0)

The Bisons and Chiefs will play a total of 18 times this season. Buffalo swept the first series of the season between the two teams at Coca-Cola Field. Following this series, the Herd will travel up the 90 June 29-30 and July 1 to take on the Chiefs in Syracuse. The Herd will host Syracuse next July 6-8 for a three game series.

Devon Travis

2B Devon Travis extended his hitting streak to eight straight ballgames with a base hit in the eighth inning on Sunday, increasing his batting average to .210. Travis now has a hit in 12 of the 14 games that he has appeared in since being optioned to Buffalo. He has made 12 starts at second base, with a pair of games serving as the designated hitter.

Bisons Bits

The Bisons' pitching staff has a combined ERA of 2.82 in the month of May, second to Lehigh Valley (2.25)...Buffalo is now 14-3 when scoring 4 or more runs this season and 15-3 when outhitting its opponent...The Herd continues to lead the IL in stolen bases this season (41)...The Bisons' now have 2 series sweeps on the season (May 3-6 vSyracuse and May 18-20 vScranton/Wilkes-Barre)...The Herd was swept by the IronPigs in a three-game set at Lehigh Valley May 10-12 as well.

Jason Leblebijian

INF Jason Leblebijian hit his fourth home run of the season in the fifth inning on Sunday. He now leads the Herd in long balls and runs. Leblebijian is also tied for the team lead in RBIs with C Danny Jansen (16). The 2017 All-Star hit 11 home runs last season in 120 games played.
