
Knicks Defense Helps Sever Skid in Convincing 109-95 Victory

WHITE PLAINS, NY - Using conclusive defensive effort, the Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, controlled the Fort Wayne Mad Ants from start to finish, 109-95, Tuesday evening at the Westchester County Center. The win stops a five-game skid for the Knicks.
Tonight, was spotlighted by the Knicks (2-6) defensive effort as the hosts forced Fort Wayne into committing 23 turnovers, benefitting 27 points off the Mad Ants' (1-7) miscues, while only mishandling the rock 13 times. Led by Kenny Wooten's five rejections, the club tallied 10 total contrasting Fort Wayne's three blocks.
Westchester also picked up 15 thefts to Fort Wayne's five on the night. Though the visitors outrebounded Westchester by a slim margin, 40-38, Westchester won on the offensive glass 9-6, which resulted in 19 second chance points. Fort Wayne added just 11 from second chance opportunities.
Andrew White III led five Knicks in double-figures with 17 points on 53.8-percent shooting. Without a single miss on the night, Zak Irvin posted 16 points in a reserve role. Lamar Peters tallied 14 points which included four treys. Two-Way player tandem of Ivan Rabb and Kadeem Allen tabbed 10 points and eight assists, respectively. Additionally, Rabb collected eight rebounds.
Westchester never trailed tabbing a lead as large as 25-points, the largest for the Knicks all season, pictured early in the fourth quarter. Falling behind early, Fort Wayne suffered double-digit deficits in each quarter and knotted play once all night.
Ike Nwamu scored 20 points off the bench to lead Indiana's NBA G League affiliate. Stephan Hicks contributed 26 points and Walt Lemon Jr. recorded a 10-point and 11-assist double-double for the road team.
Westchester returns to action Friday, November 29 at Delaware. The Knicks and Blue Coats tip-off at 7 PM ET.
