
Sold out Crowd Sparks Texas in Final Minutes

FRISCO, TX - The Texas Legends (4-3) and Santa Cruz Warriors (4-4) stayed close through four quarters, but the Legends made a push in the final two minutes to take a 113-107 victory in front of another sold-out home crowd.
Texas took the first lead of the night and held on through most of the first quarter, building it to double-digits (+10) midway through. Santa Cruz streaked through seven quick points to keep it within reach and ultimately got the last shot to take a 28-27 edge going into the second. Trahson Burrell powered out 10 in the second as the two teams battled for the lead. After three exchanges, they tied it up for the fourth time at the buzzer to go into the locker room at 56-all.
After more back-and-forth in the third, Texas took the lead seven minutes in and never relinquished it. The Legends took their largest lead of the half early in the fourth (+8) but would allow the visitors to remain close, tying it up two more times before the final buzzer. An 8-2 run through the final two minutes sealed the victory for Texas. The Legends finished the night shooting only 39% from the field but knocked down 70% from the free throw line to grab the edge. Santa Cruz finished at 51% overall, 42% free throw. The two combined for 45 assists and Texas won the boards 58-52.
Burrell led all scorers with 23 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Three Legends finished with double-doubles led by Aric Holman off the bench with 18 points, 11 rebounds. Antonius Cleveland added 15 points, 11 rebounds and Nate Mason grabbed 15 points and dished out 10 assists. Chad Brown had a game-high 17 rebounds.
Andrew Harrison led the Warriors' scoring efforts with 20 points, 6 rebounds off the bench while three Warriors added double-doubles. Deyonta Davis grabbed 18 points, 15 rebounds, Jeremy Pargo tallied 17 points, 14 assists, and Juan Toscano-Anderson finished at 13 points, 10 rebounds.
