The Snappers earned their second two-game winning streak of the season with a 6-1 win in game two of the doubleheader against the Fort Wayne Wizards on Sunday. Brian Kirwan collected his second win in as many starts, going five innings and only allowing one run.

Fort Wayne struck first in the top of the first inning on an Andrew Cumberland homer to right field. Cumberland's blast gave the Wizards a quick 1-0 lead after half an inning.

Chris Parmelee and the Snappers would not let that stand, as the former Twins' first round pick (2006) delivered a big two-run triple in the bottom of the first. Parmelee drove home Mark Dolenc and Steve Singleton, and was later driven home himself off the bat of Garrett Olson. The three-run outburst put Beloit ahead 3-1.

Three more runs in the bottom of the third sealed the deal for the 2007 Midwest League Western Division Champs as they went on to win by the final of 6-1.

Mark Dolenc, Steve Singleton and Chris Parmelee all had at least two hits as they helped power the Snappers to their second straight win and first series victory of the season.
