Fort Myers Mighty Mussels News Release

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Alex Kirilloff drove in two runs, Brusdar Graterol tossed 5.2 scoreless innings, and the Fort Myers Miracle held on late to edge the Bradenton Marauders, 3-2, on Monday night at Hammond Stadium.

Graterol (5-2) yielded just four hits. He walked one and struck out six. The 20-year old has not lost since July 14.

Caleb Hamilton broke a scoreless game in the fifth with a double into the left-field corner. An inning later, Kirilloff made it 2-0 with a two-out single to right. Kirilloff added an RBI single in the eighth to finish 3-4.

Bradenton scored two runs in the ninth on a Jason Delay two-run single, but Kevin Marnon retired the next two hitters to earn his third save. Colton Davis bridged the gap from Graterol to Marnon with 2.1 hitless innings.

Domingo Robles (0-2) went seven innings for Bradenton. The left-hander allowed two runs on five hits.

The win keeps the Miracle 1.5 games back of Charlotte in the South Division after the Stone Crabs defeated Daytona, 9-6.

The game was delayed by 35 minutes prior to first pitch due to inclement weather.

The four-game series continues on Tuesday night with a 7:00 p.m. first pitch.
