Kings Sink Clippers with Strong Fourth Quarter

ONTARIO, CA - The Agua Caliente Clippers (12-6) fall to the Stockton Kings (9-10), 107-119, in their post-All-Star break opener on Thursday afternoon.

Kris Dunn led Agua Caliente with 21 points on eight-of-13 shooting from the field and recorded nine rebounds and four assists in the process.

Shevon Thompson registered a huge 16-point, 15-rebound double-double in the losing effort.

Kings' Matt Coleman III led all scorers with 28 points and dished out 11 assists in the victory.

D.J. Steward flirted with a triple-double, recording 25 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists for Stockton.

After three quarters of even basketball, the Kings began to pull away at the 8:48 mark of the fourth, opening up the score with a 16-4 run. Their lead would expand to as much as 14 as they watched the Clippers struggle to keep up. Stockton shot 66.7 percent from the field (14-for-21) in the final frame compared to Agua Caliente's 39.1 percent (9-for-23).

The Clippers will try to right the ship on Monday as they host the first of a back-to-back against the Birmingham Squadron. The game is slated to tip-off at 7 p.m. PT inside the Toyota Arena in Ontario, Calif.
