WILMINGTON - The Delaware Blue Coats (11-5), the NBA G League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers, beat the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (8-11), 130-108 on Thursday night at Chase Fieldhouse. Delaware is now 6-2 at home during regular season play. Six Blue Coats scored in double-figures.
Charles Bassey, on assignment from the 76ers, led the way for the Blue Coats with 23 points (9-14 FG), 10 rebounds, and 8 blocks. 76ers two-way player Myles Powell dropped 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists. Fellow two-way player Charlie Brown Jr. tallied 17 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals. Braxton Key added 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 blocks.
Delaware took control with a 47-point third quarter, growing its lead to 30 before the final frame. The Blue Coats made 16 3FG (.360) compared to just 6 3FG (.200) for the Mad Ants.
Justin Anderson led Fort Wayne with 28 points (11-23 FG) and 6 rebounds. Kavell Bigby-Williams posted a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds.
