Kings Recall Kanko

MANCHESTER, NH - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have recalled left wing Petr Kanko from the Monarchs, Kings President of Hockey Operations/General Manager Dave Taylor announced today. Kanko, 21, has 10 points (6-4=10) and 19 penalty minutes in 22 games with the Monarchs this season. The 5-foot-10, 201-pound native of Pribram, Czech Republic, leads the Monarchs with two shorthanded goals and his six goals overall are sixth best on the team.

Kanko, selected by the Kings in the third-round (66th overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, will wear jersey No. 48 for the Kings. He has not played in an NHL game in his career.

The Monarchs host the Albany River Rats at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Friday, December 16 at 7:35 p.m.
