Ayers Assigned to Dayton

Syracuse, NY (December 16, 2005) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that goaltender Mike Ayers has been assigned to Dayton (ECHL).

Ayers, 25, has appeared in eight games with Syracuse this season, posting a 4-3-0 record, a 2.77 goals against average and a .908 save percentage. In six games with Dayton this season, Ayers posted a 3-3-0 record, a 3.49 goals against average and an .889 save percentage. A native of Hingham, Massachusetts, Ayers signed an AHL contract with Syracuse on November 17, 2005.

The Crunch travel to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Friday, December 16 at 7 p.m. Crunch action can be heard with play-by-play announcer Bob McElligott on SportsRadio 620 WHEN or through B2 Networks on the Crunch's website at www.syracusecrunch.com. On Saturday, December 17, Syracuse hosts Philadelphia for a 7:30 p.m. game.
