Killeen Returns to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - It was announced today that goaltender Patrick Killeen has been re-assigned from the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL) to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton by the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Making his third appearance with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in 2011-12, the second-year netminder from Carp, Ontario has gone 2-2-0 with a 2.93 goals against average and an .871 save percentage in five contests. He has also compiled a 17-12-2 record over 34 games with Wheeling this season, posting a 2.74 GAA and an .891 save%.
Last season during his rookie year, Killeen registered a 19-16-2 record in 40 contests for the Nailers with a 2.87 GAA and a .901 save percentage. Pittsburgh's sixth-round pick (180th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Killeen recorded a 63-48-15 record during four seasons with the OHL's Brampton Battalion.
