
Kevin Murphy Traded to Grand Rapids for Brandon Fields

Boise, Idaho (February 26, 2015) - The Idaho Stampede announced today that guard Kevin Murphy has been traded to the Grand Rapids Drive in exchange for guard Brandon Fields. Fields will wear number 17 and is expected to be available on Friday, Feb. 27 against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, pending physical.
Fields (6-4, 195, Nevada) has averaged 14.1 points, 4.3 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 28.8 minutes per game for the Drive this season, appearing in 32 games with 16 starts. The Arlington, Texas native played four years at the University of Nevada (2006-2010), starting in 67 games of his 133 career appearances. After going undrafted in the 2010 NBA Draft, Fields spent time overseas in Romania, Morocco and Hungary before joining Grand Rapids in 2014.
The Stampede will host the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Friday (Feb. 27) and Saturday (Feb. 28) at CenturyLink Arena.
