
Energy Acquire Willie Reed from Grand Rapids Drive

Des Moines, Iowa - The Iowa Energy have acquired forward Willie Reed, the team announced today. In exchange, the Energy will trade Diante Garrett to the Grand Rapids Drive.
Reed (6-10, 220) averaged 31.2 minutes, 14.6 points, 12.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in 30 games (21 starts) for Grand Rapids this season. Reed holds career NBA D-League averages of 14.7 points, 1.8 blocks and 9.6 rebounds in 128 games (85 starts). Reed played two seasons for the Saint Louis Billikens (2008-2010) where he averaged 10.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 24.7 minutes in 67 games (54 starts) before declaring for the NBA Draft in 2011.
Garrett (6-4, 190) averaged 37.0 minutes, 14.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 30 games (29 starts) for the Energy.
