El Paso Chihuahuas News Release

The El Paso Chihuahuas snapped their four-game losing streak with a 6-3 win in Albuquerque Monday at Isotopes Park. Brett Kennedy pitched five solid innings to advance his record to 8-0, the first pitcher in Chihuahuas' history to hold that win-loss record.

El Paso trailed early 1-0 and 2-1 but came back shortly thereafter both times to tie the score. Shane Peterson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, his eighth homer of the year. Cory Spangenberg went 3-for-5 with an RBI and has hits in all five of his games with El Paso since being optioned by San Diego.

Brett Nicholas went 1-for-4 with an RBI double and now sits fifth in the Pacific Coast League in both doubles (24) and RBIs (63). Monday's game had a 15-minute pregame rain delay, the third time in the last four nights the Chihuahuas were affected by rain.
