Bees Top 51s on Angels Night

SALT LAKE CITY - The Salt Lake Bees, donning the look of their parent-club Los Angeles Angels, defeated the Las Vegas 51s 10-5 in the first game of a four-game series Monday night at Smith's Ballpark.

Luis Rengifo, in his home debut, had a strong night in the leadoff spot for the Bees. He went 3-for-4 at the plate with a triple and two RBIs. Eric Young Jr. also collected three hits with a pair of RBIs. Michael Hermosillo, Jared Walsh and Kaleb Cowart all chipped in multiple hits with Walsh and Hermosillo bringing in a pair of RBIs.

Starter Ivan Pineyro (3-7) lasted six innings, tying the longest outing of the season by a Bees starter. He allowed five runs on eight hits while striking out three. He was replaced by Dylan Unsworth who finished the game, collecting the three-inning save for his first save with the Bees this season.
