
Keithean Brooks Recognized as Memphis Hustle High School Top Performer of the Month Presented by Campbell Clinic

Keithean "KB" Brooks, a junior basketball player at Lake Cormorant High School, has been named the Hustle High School Top Performer of the Month, presented by Campbell Clinic, for the month of January. Brooks was recognized at the Hustle game on Friday, February 28 against the Salt Lake City Stars.
During the month of January, Buford led Lake Cormorant to a 5-4 record, which included victories over county rivals Hernando, Lewisburg and Southaven. Over the course of January, Brooks averaged 16.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists, including a 29-point and seven-rebound performance in a win at Southaven on January 14. Brooks helped the Gators to an 18-13 record overall, which included a second-place finish at the District 1-5A tournament.
In 31 appearances as a junior, Brooks averaged a team-high 18.2 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists & 2.2 steals per-game while shooting 44 percent from the floor. Brooks was named to the all-region team for Region 1-5A and currently holds a 3.4 GPA in the classroom.
Over his first three seasons at Lake Cormorant, Brooks has recorded over 900 points, 100 assists, 100 steals and over 350 rebounds. In 64 career games, Brooks has averaged 15.0 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists while shooting 41 percent from the floor. Brooks has two-career 30-point games, including a career-high 35 points in a win at DeSoto Central on February 7, 2020. Brooks is currently the 46th ranked player in the state of Mississippi in the 2021 class.
