(GREENSBORO, N.C.) - The Greensboro, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, announced today that the team has added Jeff Roberson to its roster via returning player rights. The Swarm acquired Roberson in a trade with the Maine Red Claws (Boston Celtics affiliate) on February 28.
Roberson, 23, was a four-year player for Vanderbilt University. Undrafted in 2018, the Houston native spent his first season as a professional playing for the Red Claws. With Maine (2018-19), he averaged 4.9 points and 3.8 rebounds in 20.7 minutes per game.
Roberson has played for Trefl Sopot in the Polish Basketball League this season. In 17 games, he has averaged 8.7 points and 4.1 rebounds in 24.0 minutes per game.
The trade with the Red Claws saw Greensboro acquire Roberson in exchange for its second-round selection in the 2020 NBA G League Draft.
Roberson (6-6, 220) will wear No. 12 for the Swarm.
