Kalmikov Reassigned To Louisiana

BRIDGEPORT, CT – The American Hockey League's 2001-02 Regular Season Champion and Eastern Conference Playoff Champion Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have announced the reassignment of Right Wing Konstantin Kalmikov by the Islanders to the East Coast Hockey League's Louisiana IceGators.

Kalmikov has posted ten goals, nine assists, 19 points, a +1 and 12 penalty minutes in 53 games with the Sound Tigers this season. He notched 20 goals, 27 assists, 47 points and 12 penalty minutes in 67 games with Louisiana in addition to appearing in two AHL regular-season games with both the Houston Aeros and Hershey Bears and one in Russia with Salavat Yulayev, as well as two playoff games with the Sound Tigers last year.

The Sound Tigers will continue a three-game homestand when they host the Manchester Monarchs tomorrow at 7:35 p.m. and the Binghamton Senators Saturday at 7:05 p.m. The Sound Tigers will visit the Springfield Falcons Sunday at 4:05 p.m. All Sound Tigers' games are broadcast live on "The ZONE" FOX Sports Radio 1300 AM and at www.soundtigers.com. WSTC/WNLK 1400/1350 AM also broadcasts road games.
