March 6, 2003 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Manitoba Moose News Release
The Moose, in conjunction with Shoppers Drug Mart, announced that the franchise's first-ever women's hockey clinic will be taking place on Thursday, March 27. The clinic will be free of charge and will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Winnipeg Arena.
Moose players and coaches will teach the basics of hockey rules and strategies, as well as give insight into the fitness training of a professional hockey player. Women will have a chance to participate in the same on-ice games, drills and skills that the Moose do!
To sign up for the free Moose women's clinic, drop by your nearest Shoppers Drug Mart cosmetic counter to fill out the sign up sheet. There is a limit of only 50 people. So sign up early, as entry will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
For more information on the free women's hockey clinic, ask your Shoppers Drug Mart cosmetician or phone the Manitoba Moose office at 987-PUCK (7825).
