Kalamazoo Takes Third Straight from 'Chucks

Wausau, WIS - The Wisconsin Woodchucks mustered only three runs (two earned) against the Kalamazoo Growlers and lost, 8-3, at Athletic Park in Wausau.

Connor Heady (Kentucky) knocked a two-run homer over the left field fence - his second in as many games - and Jonathan Foster (Auburn) chipped in three hits, but the 'Chucks were largely quiet against Kalamazoo starter Kevin Marmon.

Marmon threw eight innings, giving up all three runs (two earned) and striking out eight.

Eli Kraus (Kent State) took the loss for the Woodchucks.

The Woodchucks return to action Athletic Park tomorrow (Wednesday, June 15) to take on Kalamazoo in the second of a two-game series, and the fourth of a six-game homestand. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 pm. Order your tickets today by calling 715.845.5055 or going online to woodchucks.com.
