Shannon Named Pitcher of the Week/Second Viewing Party Thursday

St. Cloud, Minn. - St. Cloud Rox pitcher Matt Shannon (Angelo State) was named pitcher of the week by Collegiate Summer Baseball for the week of June7-14, 2016

Shannon made his debut with the Rox on Friday, June 10, throwing a gem and guiding the Rox to a win. He threw 7.0 innings without giving up a run, striking out nine in the process. He allowed only one hit and three walks, facing only three more batters than the minimum in his outing.

Shannon is just the second player to earn the weekly award from the newly founded website, and is the first Rox player this season to win a weekly award. Two St. Cloud players, Austin Caspersen and Mark Skonieczny, have earned nightly Northwoods League honors.

Second Viewing Party Set for Thursday, 6/16 at Blue Line South

St. Cloud, MN - The St. Cloud Rox and Blue Line Sports Bar and Grill South are pleased to announce they will host their second viewing party of the year at Blue Line South on Thursday, June 16 at 7:05pm as they travel to Mankato.

Blue Line South will carry the game on numerous TVs with the sound on for all to enjoy. There will be giveaways throughout the game from both Blue Line South and the Rox. Come and cheer on the red hot St. Cloud Rox. Game time is at 7:05pm, but come early to kick off the fun.

In total the Rox and Blue Line Sports Bar and Grill will host five viewing parties this season. The rest of the viewing party schedule is listed below.
