Kenosha Kingfish News Release

Waterloo, Iowa - The Waterloo Bucks topped the Kingfish in the season series finale by a score of 9-1 tonight.

The Kingfish fell behind early, and were unable to catch up to Waterloo's high-powered offense. Alex Hamilton started for the Kingfish and was unable to escape the jam he got in during the fourth inning. He finished the day with the loss after 3.1 innings pitched, and allowed 7 runs off of 7 hits.

Ty Ramirez relieved him and worked 3.0 innings but gave up a pair of runs off of 5 hits. Tommy Hanson finished the job for Kingfish pitching, and refused to yield a run in the last 1.2 innings of the game.

The Kingfish offense was mostly held in check tonight as the club could only tally 6 hits. Cal Jadacki continued his hot-hitting ways with a 2 for 4 outing and was the only Kingfish to pick up multiple hits. Marty Bechina picked up the club's only RBI after he roped a base hit in the 8th that scored Matt Hearn.

The loss drops the Kingfish to 5-9 on the summer. They are back home on Tuesday and Wednesday against the Green Bay Bullfrogs. After that, the Kingfish head back on the road four 4 days to Wausau and La Crosse. The series against La Crosse marks the final time the Kingfish will meet a North Division foe on the diamond this summer.
