Kalamazoo Kings' Field Manager Close to Setting Record

Kalamazoo - Fran Riordan is in his sixth season as the field manager for the Kalamazoo Kings and ninth overall as a manager in the Frontier League. With his next win, Fran will tie Greg Tagert for the most wins by a manager in the Frontier League with 412.
Fran is no stranger to the Frontier League record book from his playing days. He holds the record for most games played and most runs batted in and he held the hits record until last year.
The Kings are in the middle of a six game road trip and therefore Fran will most likely set the record away from Homer Stryker Field. A pregame ceremony is planned for Wednesday's game to honor the achievement.
The Kalamazoo Kings are a part of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league .
