Kaczowka returns to Peoria

WORCESTER, MA – St. Louis Blues Senior Vice President/General Manager and Worcester IceCats General Manager of Hockey Operations Larry Pleau announced today that the IceCats have returned left wing David Kaczowka on loan to the ‘Cats ECHL affiliate, the Peoria (IL) Rivermen.

A native of Regina, Saskatchewan Kaczowka has appeared in four games for the Worcester IceCats, recording and 19 penalty minutes this season. Prior to his recall on January 15th, the 6-2, 205 forward skated with the Rivermen for 15 games, registering one goal, one assist and 119 penalty minutes. Kaczowka, who also skated in two exhibition games with Worcester notching 22 PIMÂ’s, was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the fourth round of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.

The IceCats next home game is Friday, January 28th against the Lowell Lock Monsters. The ‘Cats then travel to Lowell on Saturday and then host the Portland Pirates on Sunday at the DCU Center. Sunday’s game has a 4:05 PM start time.
