
K-Wings Fans Flock To Wings Stadium

Nearly 10,000 Fans Witness Back-to-Back Wins Over the Weekend
Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League, announce nearly 10,000 fans came to Wings Stadium over the weekend to witness the K-Wings extend their home unbeaten streak to eight games (7-0-0-1).
On Friday, the K-Wings welcomed a season-high 5,014 to the complex on Metro PCS Night and Scout Night, as the Kalamazoo defeated the Johnstown Chiefs 5-4.
Valentine's Day was full of love and Wings Stadium was full of fans, as 4,650 came to see the K-Wings shutout the Toledo Walleye during the 10th Annual Pink Ice Game, presented by WWMT and WKFR. Sunday's crowd as the third largest on pink ice and the largest in the ten years on a game not played on Saturday.
In total, 9,664 fans came for the two games and big crowds are expect when the K-Wings return from their three-game road trip from Florida,
On Wednesday, February 24th, Kalamazoo will host the Gwinnett Gladiators in front of a near capacity crowd for a 10:30 a.m. Education Day, presented by Borgess Health and ECCU.
Frugal Fan Friday returns on Friday, February 26th, as the K-Wings and Gladiators square off again for a 7:30 p.m. encounter on B-93 Night.
Another large crowd is expected on Saturday, February 27th, when the Charlotte Checkers visit Wings Stadium for a 7:30 p.m. face-off on Sportclips Haircut Night.
Next week will conclude with a 4 p.m. battle on Sunday, February 28th between the K-Wings and Checkers on Faith Day. Large numbers of church groups have already reserved their seats not only for the game, but to hear Rock Campbell, the Central Michigan director of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, speak in the Cube Viewing Arena prior to the contest at 2:30 p.m.
Through 26 games this season, the K-Wings have welcomed 87,220 fans (avg. 3,355) to Wings Stadium, which is up from 82,054 (avg. 3,155) through the same amount of games last season.
Single-game tickets for any regular season home game are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office. Ticket Office hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. For more information, call Wings Stadium Ticket Office during regular business hours at (269) 345-5101.
