
K-Wings Add to Roster

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders and American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, announce Patrick Asselin, John-Scott Dickson, Jordan Fulton, John Kivisto, Anton Kharin, Jon Landry, Brian McGuirk, Brian McMillin, Ryan Nie, Brandon Svendsen and Mitch Versteeg have been released from the training camp of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and have reported back to Kalamazoo.
The Sound Tigers have also reassigned defensemen Matt Duffy, Corey Syvret and Steven Tarasuk to the K-Wings. Both Syvret and Tarasuk participated in the K-Wings practice this morning.
The addition of these players increases the K-Wings training camp roster to 30 players.
The K-Wings will host their 2nd Annual Red and Blue Showcase Scrimmage and Shootout at Wings Stadium tomorrow, Wednesday, October 6th. The showcase scrimmage game will start at 7 p.m. and is FREE to the public.
After continuing their morning training camp routine on Thursday and Friday, the K-Wings will get their first taste of preseason game action on Friday, October 8th with a 7:30 p.m. face-off at Wings Stadium versus the Toledo Walleye. Tickets for that preseason are just $5. Plus, all fans that are in attendance for the K-Wings only home preseason contest will receive one FREE bag of popcorn.
The K-Wings and Walleye will meet again on Saturday, October 9th for a 6 p.m. encounter at the Huntington Center in Toledo at 6 p.m.
Fans that can't make it to either preseason game, can still listen to both contests on the radio or on line. Both preseason clashes can be heard live at 95.9 WLKM or at kwings.com starting 15 minutes prior to face-off.
The K-Wings will begin the regular season on the road with a battle against the Walleye on October 22nd at 6 p.m.
Kalamazoo will open up the home portion of their schedule on Saturday, October 23rd versus the defending Kelly Cup champion's, the Cincinnati Cyclones, with a 7:30 p.m. face-off at Wings Stadium during the 7th annual Orange Ice game featuring a Miller Lite indoor pre-game tailgate party with live music from the very popular Bronk Bros. and Orange Ice game and the raising of the 2009-10 North Division banner.
Season tickets for the upcoming 2010-2011 season are on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office. Ticket Office hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. For more information, please call Wings Stadium Ticket Office during regular business hours at (269) 345-5101.
Tickets for all K-Wings home games are on sale now and range in price from $9.90-$14.90 for adults and only $6.90 for kids ages 12 and under. Ticket Office or at any Ticketmaster outlet. The price for all K-Wings premium night games (all colored ice games and New Year's Eve game) are just $1 more.
Fans can save money by purchasing K-Wings single game tickets advance because on the day of a game, K-Wings tickets are $1 more.
