
Just In Time, Todd Arrives In Mew Mexico

[ RIO RANCHO, N.M.]-Scorpions head coach Randy Murphy has signed forward Justin Todd to the roster. Todd arrives in town on Friday and is expected to be in uniform when the Scorps host Corpus Christi.
Todd, 23, has spent most of his rookie season with the Indiana Ice Miners of the Mid-Atlantic Hockey League. He also had a stint in the ECHL with the Elmira Jackals. Overall he has played in 25 games, scoring 38 points (22G, 16) and amassing 38 penalty minutes.
"Justin is a high energy guy who comes highly recommended," said Murphy. "He has shown solid play in his rookie season and we think he deserves a chance at this level of pro hockey."
Prior to turning pro, Todd played for two seasons at Lebanon Valley College. The Edmonton, Alberta native played in 48 games scoring 41 points (23G, 18A) along with collecting 195 penalty minutes.

Saturday the Corpus Christi Rayz will be back at the Santa Ana Star Center. The first 1,500 fans inside the gate will get a Stanley bobble head, courtesy of the City of Rio Rancho. Both games this weekend start at 7:15 p.m.
