LHP Yean Carlos Gil starts for the Mudcats tonight in the final game of a three game series against the Winston-Salem Dash at Five County Stadium. Gil last pitched on 6/9 in Zebulon against the Potomac Nationals and finished that start with seven runs (five earned) allowed over a career low 1.2 innings pitched. All seven of the runs scored by the Nationals came in the second inning of Gil's last start. The Mudcats trailed 7-3 after two on 6/9, but came back to win the game 14-10. Gil is 1-8 with a 6.84 ERA over 11 starts this season. He was 0-4 with a 3.43 ERA in April, 0-4 with a 9.13 ERA in May and is 1-0 with a 9.45 ERA in June.
Tonight's game begins at 6:00 p.m. at Five County Stadium in Zebulon and will air on the Mudcats Radio Network with the pre game show beginning at 5:45 p.m.
