Richmond Flying Squirrels News Release
Funnville - The Richmond Flying Squirrels, Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, are proud to announce tickets for the July 4 Independence Day celebration at the Diamond are sold out for the ninth consecutive season. Richmond is home throughout the holiday weekend and tickets for the Thursday, July 5 and Saturday, July 7 In-Your-Face Fireworks shows are still available and can be purchased here. Gates for July 4 open at 5 p.m., and fans are encouraged to arrive early. First pitch is 6:35 p.m. A full rundown of upcoming promotions can be found below.
"Selling out almost a week ahead of a game is amazing," said Flying Squirrels VP & COO Todd "Parney" Parnell. "It's incredible how celebrating 4th of July at the Diamond with family and friends has become a annual tradition in Richmond"
The Flying Squirrels are currently on the road in Harrisburg and will return to The Diamond on Wednesday, July 4 through Sunday July 8.

Independence Day at The Diamond is a time-honored Richmond tradition. Celebrate your freedom this weekend starting on July 4. This event has sold out so please arrive early. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m. Gates open at 5p.m.

More Independence Day fireworks along with a one of a kind Nutzy Grateful Squirrel Bobblehead Giveaway to the first 1,000 15 and up. The first of two nights featuring live music by The Hashbury Collective! Gates open at 5:30 p.m.

The Flying Squirrels will pay tribute to Tom Petty, one of the greatest American singers and songwriters by wearing these cool Full Moon Fever jerseys. The jerseys will be auctioned off for charity during the game. Expect plenty of Petty music, even the deep cuts for this special night. In-Your-Face Fireworks follow the game. Gates open at 5 p.m.

Kids, get ready for your trip to the beach this summer with the Nutzy & Nutasha Beach Towel Giveaway presented by Pepsi. The first 1,000 fans 14 and under won't have to drip dry. Kids Club Sunday includes pregame catch on the field starting at 12:15 p.m. and Kids Run the Bases after the game. Gates open at 12 p.m.
