Josh Robinson Returns to Mavericks Roster

INDEPENDENCE, MISSOURI - The Missouri Mavericks announced Wednesday afternoon that Josh Robinson has been returned on loan from the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.

Robinson, 26, was signed to a professional tryout with the Falcons on Feb. 17, 2016, and appeared in 3 games with the AHL team before his return to the Missouri Mavericks. The Frankenmuth, MI native actively maintains the longest ECHL goaltender win streak record with 21 straight wins for the Mavs this season. Robinson is currently ranked 2nd in the league amongst top net-minders with an overall record of 25-0-0-1, a 1.85 goals-against average (GAA), and a .928 save percentage (SV%).

The Mavericks also announced on Wednesday that they have signed forward Darren Nowick to an amateur tryout (ATO) contract. Nowick, 24, joins the Mavs from Northern Michigan University (NCAA). Through 37 games this season, the Long Beach, California native scored 32 points (14G,18A). He will wear number 49 for Missouri.

The Mavericks play their next four games on the road, beginning tonight with a 7:05p.m. contest against the Allen Americans in Allen, TX.

Missouri returns home to Silverstein Eye Centers Arena on Wednesday, Mar. 23 when they will face-off against the visiting Evansville IceMen at 7:05p.m. Tickets for all Missouri Mavericks home games are available online at Ticketmaster.com and in-person at the arena box office.
