WICHITA, KANSAS - Peter Sivak scored once and had 3 assists, Stephen Perfetto had two power play goals and goaltender Jacob DeSerres stopped 38 shots as the Alaska Aces downed the homestanding Wichita Thunder 4-2 at the Intrust Bank Arena Tuesday.

In a first period dominated territorially by the Aces, they finally broke through with a power play goal at 10:56. Perfetto snapped home a shot after passes from William Wrenn and Peter Sivak.

Perfetto found the power play to his liking again in the second period, extending Alaska's lead to 2-0 with his second goal of the game, 14th of the season. He received the puck right in front of the net, all alone with Thunder goaltender Sean Bonar. Perfetto rifled the puck to the back of the net for his 14th goal of the season.

Wichita would cut the lead in half before the end of the second period. While on the power play, former Ace Landon Oslanski unleashed his patented heavy slap shot that rattled off the boards in back of Alaska goaltender DeSerres. The puck would bounce right to Miles Koulis, who popped it into the net for his 5th goal of the season, and it was 2-1 Aces after two.

In the third, Sivak rammed home a rebound of Garet Hunt's shot from the slot for his 18th goal of the season just 26 seconds into the period...that restored Alaska's lead to two.

Wichita persisted, and sliced into the lead again with Chris Isakson's 11th goal of the season at 6:56, but the Aces would seal the deal on Justin Breton's 21st goal of the season, an empty-netter from Sivak and Perfetto.

The Thunder outshot Alaska 40-27 for the game.

The two teams will play again Wednesday at 4:05pm ADT in Wichita.

The Aces return to the Sullivan Arena ice on Thursday, March 27 against Rapid City.
