The Somerset Patriots are home this weekend and the excitement continues during the week at TD Bank Ballpark.
Saturday, August 14th @ 7:05 pm Join the Patriots as they take on Tim Raines and the Newark Bears at TD Bank Ballpark.
The game includes Glow Fans for the first 2,000 fans courtesy of EmPoWER SOMERSET. The game also includes Girl Scout Night.
Sunday, August 15th @ 5:05 pm The series continues against the Bears on Sunday. The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive T-Shirtscourtesy of Flemington Department Store.
The game features Car Show Night with a Car Show in the Red Lot beginning at 3:00 pm and a Car Parade around the warning track before the game.
The game also includes Auction Night where the New Jersey State Society of Auctioneers will host a competition and fundraising event to benefit Operation Shoebox New Jersey. Fans can stay after the game to bid on great Patriots and sports memorabilia.
Tuesday, August 17th @ 7:05 pm The Patriots take on the Long Island Ducks for a three game series beginning Tuesday.
The first 2,000 fans will receive a Back-To-Back Champions Hatcourtesy of Wells Fargo Advisors- Warren.
Fans can also WIN $10,000 at the ballpark courtesy of Heineken Premium Light. Wednesday, August 18th @ 7:05 pm Don't miss the #1 Entertainment Act in Minor League Baseball-The ZOOperstars presented by sanofi-aventis U.S.
The game also includes Petrock's Baseball Bingo and Scout Night.
Thursday, August 19th @ 7:05 pm Don't miss one of the best FIREWORKS Shows in the state on Thursday night.
Following the game, fans will be treated to a spectacular FIREWORKS Show courtesy of Berkeley College.
The game also includes a night to raise money and highlight the Somerset Hills Learning Institute.
Join The Patriots For Veterans Of America Day
The Somerset Patriots and Operation Jersey Cares will honor veterans and current military members before the Patriots game on Sunday, August 29, with gates opening at 4:00 pm at TD Bank Ballpark.
The Patriots will welcome United States Armed Forces veterans and active Marines and soldiers to the ballpark. All veterans in attendance will be recognized for their courage and service to the United States.
The pre-game ceremony, beginning at 4:15 pm, will include guest of honor Jack Gartenberg, an Iwo Jima survivor from the Marine Corps, who was the recipient of the Purple Heart Medal, the Asia Pacific Theater Medal with Battle Star, President Unit Citation- 4th Marine Division (Iwo Jima), Navy Unit Commendation-24th Marines (Iwo Jima), World War II Victory Medal, Northern Mariana Island- Saipan/Tinian Medal, and Distinguished Military Service Medal WWII.
The ceremony will feature a special color guard by the Basilone Marine Corps League, NJ, a rifle salute, Echo Taps, and Frosty Lawson performing "God Bless the USA," "America- The Light of the World," and the "Star Spangled Banner." There will also a reenactment of the flag raising on Iwo Jima by Marines who have just returned from Iraq.
There will be a military fly-over with World War II planes and military vehicles around the ballpark for fans to view before the game.
All veterans will receive complimentary admission to the game, while all family, friends, and other guests of veterans will receive $5.00 upper box tickets.
Patriots To Host 5k Run The Five-Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset
Patriots have announced that the 2nd Annual Somerset Patriots 5K Run will be on Monday, September 6th at 9:00 am at TD Bank Ballpark. The 5K Run will benefit The Somerset Patriots Children's Educational & Sportsmanship Foundation and will feature a moderate course looping around the entire ballpark and finishing with a lap around the warning track of the playing field. Registration includes a t-shirt for the first 250 registered runners, a goody bag, and a ticket voucher to the Patriots game against the York Revolution at 6:05 pm that night. There will also be an opportunity to purchase additional game tickets for family and friends. The game also includes a Post-Game Fireworks Show. The Patriots will recognize the winners of the 5K on the field in a pre-game ceremony, where awards will be given to the overall winners and the winners of different age groups. Interested runners can register for $15 prior to August 23rd and $20 for every registration submitted after August 23rd. Registration is also available on race day. 2010 THEME NIGHT: Youth Hockey Night Saturday, August 28th Game Time: 7:05 pm Be a part of the action as the Somerset Patriots take on the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs and will host its annual Youth Hockey Night. All youth hockey players, coaches, and their families will receive discounted tickets and be able to participate in a pre-game parade on the field!
