Johnstown's Hendrikx Suspended One Game, Fined

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced that it has suspended Johnstown defenseman Trevor Hendrikx for one game and fined him an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #673 at Wheeling on Mar. 6.

Hendrikx was assessed a major penalty for fighting and a Game Misconduct under Rule 47.2 Aggressor at 18:13 of the third period.

He is suspended under Rule 47.21 whereby any player deemed to be the instigator or aggressor of fisticuffs during the last five minutes of the game or at any time during overtime, shall be automatically suspended from his team's next game. He is fined under Rule 29 Supplemental Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Hendrikx will miss Johnstown's game at Wheeling (Mar. 7).
