Trenton Thunder News Release

(Trenton, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, announced Tuesday that pitcher Joba Chamberlain has ended his Major League rehab and has been activated by the Yankees. Additionally, starting pitcher Shaeffer Hall has been placed on the team's disabled list with a left big toe injury (retroactive to 7/30).

Chamberlain had been expected to make another appearance with Trenton on Tuesday night, but plans changed when the Yankees traded reliever Chad Qualls Tuesday afternoon leaving a vacancy in the bullpen. Hall, the league-leader in innings pitched, has made a team-high 22 starts this season and has gone 8-7 with a 3.39 ERA
