EDINBURG, Texas (Jan. 29, 2024) - The NBA G League announced today that Rio Grande Valley Vipers forward and Houston Rockets Two-Way, Jermaine Samuels Jr., has been selected to the 2024 NBA G League Up Next Game presented by AT&T.
Samuels Jr. becomes the first-ever Vipers player to be selected to the Up Next Game presented by AT&T. He has played in nine regular season games for the Vipers in which he has averaged 21.1 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.3 steals.
The game will be held at NBA Crossover at the Indiana Convention Center on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. CST during NBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis. The game will feature 28 NBA G League players broken down into four teams of seven players who will then compete in two semifinal games. The winner of each semifinal game will face off in a Championship game.
The teams will be led by a head coach from the NBA G League and were drafted by an influencer general manager (Ball is Life, Strictly Bball, Earn your Leisure and Kris London). Each general manager will also customize their teams' jersey and stream their game on their own digital platforms.
Fans can attend the Next Up Game presented by AT&T by purchasing general admission tickets to NBA Crossover. Tickets are available at http://NBAEvents.com and through the NBA Events App. All seats for the Up Next Game presented by AT&T will be unassigned and on a first-come first-served basis.
