WINNIPEG, MB - October 30, 2013 - Brock Bulbuck, Chair of the Winnipeg Football Club Board of Directors, announced today that Jeff Martin has been selected as the newest member of the Board, replacing Chrys Pappas. Pappas is retiring from the Board in December after having served since 2002.

Martin is the second Board member chosen through a public nomination process that was initiated last April. The first Director chosen through this process was Marnie Strath, in August 2013.

"We are thrilled to have our public nomination process result in another highly qualified and experienced new Director," said Bulbuck. "Jeff brings another strong governance background to our Board, along with a skill set and extensive experience in finance and strategy."

Martin is a Partner with Deloitte, LLP and has been with the firm for 25 years. In his role as a Chartered Accountant, he has provided extensive advice on financial reporting, governance and strategy to dozens of boards of directors in Manitoba throughout his career.

Heavily involved in the community through volunteer roles on various boards and finance committees, Martin served as President and Finance Chair for Southwood Golf & Country Club's recent course construction project and relocation to St. Norbert in 2011.

Martin also has more than 20 years of football experience, playing in the Canadian Junior Football league and coaching for many years. He is a passionate, life-long Bomber supporter and is excited about the future of the Club.

The Board would like to thank Chrys Pappas for his invaluable service.

"Chrys has devoted many tireless hours of community service on the WFC Board," commented Bulbuck. "His legal expertise has been of great value, particularly through the very complex stadium development project".

Having completed the major challenge of transition into and opening of Investors Group Field, the process of Board renewal will continue in 2014 with the retirement of three Directors at the end of that year. Nominations and applications will again be solicited from the public with further information available at that time.
