James Jordan Re-signs with Brigade

April 11, 2006 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
Kansas City Brigade News Release

The Kansas City Brigade has announced that WR/LB James Jordan, in his second year in the Arena Football League, has re-signed with the team. The contract extension runs through 2008 but terms of the deal were not disclosed. He was originally allocated to the Brigade from New Orleans in October 2005.

Jordan is one of the up-and-coming young two-way players in the AFL. His tremendous size and speed has proven to be a huge asset on offense and defense. Jordan is already a cornerstone of the Brigade receiving corps and has grown into a hard-nosed, attacking defender. He is the type of player which the Brigade coaching staff plans to build around.

"Signing James (Jordan) is a very significant move for our organization and hopefully the beginning of great things to come," Head Coach Kevin Porter said. "We have made it a priority to sign our key components and he certainly fits that mold. He is one of our core players and is tremendous on and off the field. He will be a player Kansas City will be proud of for years to come."

On the season Jordan is second on the team with 57 receptions for 662 yards with 11 touchdowns, and fourth on the team with 31.5 total tackles (26 solo). He has earned U.S. Army Ironman of the Game honors twice: Week 8 at the Austin Wranglers and Week 11 versus the Los Angeles Avengers.
