Bakersfield Jam News Release

BAKERSFIELD, February 6, 2012 - Jeremy Wise's jump shot to tie the game came up short as time expired and the Bakersfield Jam (13-14) lost another close game against the Reno Bighorns (16-13) with a final score of 113-111. Bakersfield has now lost four straight games.

It was yet another close battle between both teams as they were both playing strong and neither backing down from the challenge. Derrick Byars made two big free-throws to tie the game at 111-111 with 27.6 seconds left in the game. The Jam found themselves dead-locked with the Reno Bighorns but Andre Emmett hit a floater with 3.8 seconds left in the game and that proved to be the game winner. Bakersfield could not answer back and got swept in their two games in Reno.

Jeremy Wise led the Jam with his season-high 25 points and team-high five assists while Derrick Byars had 19 points and six rebounds. Renaldo Major added 18 points with 6 rebounds and Juan Pattillo had 17 points for the night.
