Sioux Falls Skyforce News Release

Sioux Falls, S.D. (Feb. 7, 2012) - The Dakota Wizards defeated the Sioux Falls Skyforce 112-103 Tuesday night at the Sioux Falls Arena. Dakota did most of their damage in transition as they outscored Sioux Falls 84-36 in the paint.

Both teams came out of the gates slow and Dakota led 17-9 late in the first quarter. Dominique Coleman's spark off the bench allowed the Skyforce to go on a 16-4 run and take a 25-21 lead after one. Coleman had eight of his 19 points during the run.

The teams continued to exchange buckets in the second quarter and the score was knotted at 47 at halftime. The rivals appeared to be headed for a competitive final quarter until Dakota exploded near the end of the third. Tied at 70 with less than four minutes left in the third, Dakota went on a 12-0 run to take an 82-70 lead and never looked back after that. They pushed the lead to as many as 21 points in the final quarter and handed Sioux Falls their sixth straight loss.

Edwin Ubiles had a strong game for Dakota with 32 points and 10 rebounds. Marcus Dove finished the game with 21 points (9-of-10 field goals) and seven rebounds.

Minnesota Timberwolves assignee Malcolm Lee posted 16 points and six assists in 23 minutes. Gabe Pruitt led the Skyforce in scoring with a season-high 26 points behind 5-of-8 3-pointers.
