Sioux Falls, SD - The Bakersfield Jam defeated the Sioux Falls Skyforce 126-100 at the Sioux Falls Arena on Saturday night. Bakersfield outscored Sioux Falls 65-34 in the second half to break open a tight game in Duane Ticknor's first game as interim head coach.

Sioux Falls (2-17) came out strong in their first home game since Christmas Night and led by as many as 11 points (61-50) with just over two minutes to play in the opening half. Bakersfield (13-9) closed the gap to 63-61 but Anthony Harris swished a shot from beyond halfcourt at the halftime buzzer to give the Skyforce a 66-61 lead.

NBA Development League leading scorer Trey Johnson took over in the third quarter as he scored 20 points on 10-of-12 field goals to give the Jam a 94-86 lead heading into the final stanza. Bakersfield made 6-of-9 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach and send Sioux Falls to their 12th straight loss.

Johnson scored a game-high 34 points on 16-of-23 field goals. Brandon Wallace scored 20 points behind 6-of-8 3-pointers to go along with eight rebounds. Marqus Blakely added 18 points and 10 rebounds off the bench.

Harris scored a season-high 26 points and Maureece Rice posted 22 in his home debut. Cory Underwood also had a solid home debut with 13 points and six rebounds in a reserve role.

The same two teams tangle tomorrow night at the Sioux Falls Arena at 7 p.m. CT.
