Bighorns roll past Texas

RENO, Nev.- Reno turned 22 Texas turnovers into 30 points Saturday night, as the Bighorns knocked-off the Legends, 108-95, in the first of a weekend series in the Reno Events Center.

Over a five-minute stretch in the second period, Reno went on a 20-2 run and went to intermission with a 21-point advantage over the Legends. Texas returned the favor early in the third quarter, though, fashioning a 22-3 spurt of its own and eventually cutting Reno's lead to just three.

From that point forward, though, the Bighorns took control, picking up their third-straight victory.

Marcus Landry knocked down three three-pointers on his way to 24 points for the Bighorns. Patrick Ewing, Jr. scored 16 and pulled down 12 boards, and Donald Sloan notched 18 points. Jeremy Lin, on assignment from the Golden State Warriors, collected 21 points, seven boards and six assists in 38 minutes of action.

Joe Alexander led the way for Texas with 24 points and 11 rebounds, marking his eighth-straight double-double. Sean Williams blocked seven shots for the Legends.
