Reno Completes Weekend Sweep with 109-102 Victory Over Texas

RENO, Nev.- DJ Strawberry led seven Bighorns in double figures Sunday afternoon, lifting Reno to a 109-102 win over the Texas Legends to finish-off a weekend sweep in the Reno Events Center.

Strawberry scored 19 points and added a game-high 10 assists to help guide the Bighorns to their fourth-straight win.

In Saturday's win, Reno never trailed and led by as many as 23 at one juncture. Sunday's game differed greatly, featuring 20 lead changes and 17 ties. Both teams went to the half knotted at 52-52, and the Bighorns went to the final period with a slim two-point advantage. In the final quarter, though, Reno finished off the ballgame on a 7-2 run in the final minute of play to escape with the victory.

In addition to Strawberry's 19-point effort, Anthony Richardson chipped-in 18, Jeremy Lin kicked-in 17 and Mo Charlo added 15 for a Bighorns squad that shot 49.4 percent from the field.

Joe Alexander led the way for Texas with 25 points, while Justin Dentmon hit 9-of-10 tries from the charity stripe on his way to 24 points. Sean Williams grabbed a game-high 15 boards, as the Legends outrebounded Reno by a 40-to-26 margin.

The Bighorns now hit the road for four-straight, with games at Tulsa, Iowa and Austin. First-up is a Thursday-night affair against the Tulsa 66ers on Thursday night. Tip-time is set for 5 p.m. PT in the Tulsa Convention Center.
